Call It!

Shortly after finishing my brief clip book publishing career, I decided to create family games. Now this is absolutely impossible, but as God would have it, my unrelenting determination would actually prevail. For nearly two years, I drew game concepts and tried to conceive of some kind of original game idea. In the midst of this intense effort, I discovered what I called “CALL DICE.” The opposite numbers on each die was either red or black. I immediately created a game called “STRUGGLE,” and by God’s good fortune, I met a lawyer who chose to file a patent on the dice, along with the other game I had created called “TRIAL ATTORNEY.”

Now here’s the hand of God once again. In my search to reach out to game manufacturers, I met a man named Abe Mor from Tel Aviv, Israel. He traveled the world and offered new game ideas to toy companies. Abe took my “STRUGGLE” game and sold it to Jeau Nathan in France and Ideal Toy in the USA. They changed the name to “Le Pari” in France and to “Call It!” in the USA.

It would take a year and a half before my royalties would arrive. The two game companies had modest success and only had the game in production for two years. I probably received about $20,000 in total royalties. This would end my brief journey as a game developer.
