In the middle of our trial delay — and the potential that we would have to declare bankruptcy — I was given the desire to blow the shofar. I had purchased a shofar some years earlier. Now, I blew the shofar in my prayer room and out on the front steps of our home every day for over a year.
Shortly thereafter, I created a cast of my shofar and cast editions. The sculpture highlights the Scripture from Joel 2:1
“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand.”
Joel 2:1 (KJV)
Some things that the Lord inspires one to do may seem pointless, but I believe that my effort to please the unction of the Lord had a profound impact on the results in life and future affairs. Thank you, Father, for the intimacy You have given.
